1. Information We Do Not Collect
As an enterprise cybersecurity publication, we practice what we preach:
- We do not deploy invasive third-party ad trackers, browser fingerprinting scripts, or cross-site tracking pixels.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade visitor information to data brokers or third parties.
- We do not store plain-text visitor IP addresses in our analytics databases.
2. Privacy-Preserving Click Measurement
When readers click on outbound tool or product links, our redirect router logs an anonymized event. The visitor's IP address is immediately combined with a rotating daily salt and converted to a one-way cryptographic SHA-256 hash. The raw IP address is discarded immediately in memory. This allows us to track aggregate volume without retaining personal identifiers.
3. Cookies and Storage
We use strictly necessary functional session cookies for authenticated administrative staff. Standard public readers do not receive tracking cookies.
4. Your Rights
Under GDPR and applicable international data protection laws, visitors have rights to access, rectification, and erasure of personal data. Since we do not maintain personal reader profiles, no personal data profiles exist to be processed or shared.
